Solo Female Traveler – Adventure Holiday in Tanzania Africa
Unfortunately, I didn’t get to take a lot of photos even though I was on the Safari for five days before a Masi Bush midwife came to see me. She insisted I get home immediately. Well, immediately means something different in Africa than in the USA. She saw me at night, but I waited for the second flight out at noon the next day. That is when the small bush plane left to go back to Arusha. The first plane left with a heart attack patient. You can learn about what
You can learn about what happened on the plane and how I got home. But before I left, I want to show you my favorite photos from the trip.
Memories of a Holiday in Tanzania, Africa
The most memorable photo I took was of this little boy who is a Tanzania Albino and a Bushman. The people with albinism are considered Ghost people in Tanzania and are severely persecuted. According to the people of the region and tradition, the children are bad luck. I don’t know how a person can be bad luck. But, in his culture, he is, and because of these beliefs, people with albinism are not generally seen during the day in Africa because of their skin sunburns. They stay inside because they burn very easily. So, I felt special that he came out to see us.
